Abstract

Research on gender and STEM participation has necessarily tended to focus on one or few selected aspects in explaining women’s career choices and underrepresentation in STEM fields. In this special issue, we connect relevant research results from different disciplinary perspectives to examine gendered motivation and choices in STEM from adolescence to employment.&
